Thoughtful choices. Clear details.
Who publishes these guides
SimplyFound is a discovery publication operated by Soulful. The curators handpick finds and refine the collection. Soulful manages the website, updates and editorial corrections.
Meet the curators →Curation and care
The curators choose what belongs in SimplyFound and keep the collection under review. They look for relevance, practical use and clear details, and help us update or remove finds that no longer fit. Our guides give you questions and comparisons to make your own choice.
What our labels mean
“Source research” means we used publicly available provider or merchant information. “Details checked” refers to the last source check, not a purchase or personal test. A hands-on review must document who tested, when, the task, evidence and limitations. We do not invent customer reviews, ratings or outcome guarantees.
Making a useful recommendation
Relevance, clear product details and the curators’ judgement shape the collection. We explain who a find may suit, what stands out in its published details and which questions to resolve before buying. Different requirements can make an alternative a better fit.
Quality and freshness
Retail prices need a recent check before we display them as current. Course, software and health-related information receives additional editorial care. We preserve original dates and URLs when updating content. If we cannot confirm a detail, we leave it unverified rather than guessing.
How our five-star editorial scores work
Our editorial research score measures how clearly the documented details support a buying decision. It does not measure product performance, durability, safety, medical effectiveness or your likely results. It is separate from ratings submitted by readers.
We apply the same weighted rubric to every find, with category-specific checks. Clothing checks include material, fit, sizing and care; courses include curriculum, format, workload and prerequisites; software includes workflow, integrations, limits and exit terms. Other categories use their relevant specifications.
The overall score is the weighted mean, rounded to one decimal place. One star means very little support in that criterion; three means a useful but incomplete basis for research; five means a clearly documented basis. Missing information limits confidence in a recommendation; it does not prove a product is poor.
Each product's breakdown explains its score and links to its source. Source dates remain visible. Commission rates, merchant payouts, customer popularity and unverified claims do not raise the score. The curators keep assessments under review and can revise the criteria scores and reasoning when better evidence is available.
We leave older finds unscored when their primary-source details are insufficient. Customer ratings come only from actual submitted reviews after moderation. A source-based editorial score is never presented as a customer average, three separate curator votes, a completed personal test or eligibility for Google review stars.
Corrections
Email [email protected] with the page URL, the statement and a primary source. Substantive corrections are recorded in our editorial history. Current guides were introduced on 10 October 2026; that is their publication date, not evidence of earlier testing.
Our testing worksheet
A documented review records the goal, input, environment, version or plan, steps, output, failed checks and whether access or payment was provided by the seller. “Not tested” stays distinct from “failed”. New languages and specialist claims require adequate editorial review before publication.
